The whole, perfectly preserved old town is unique for its marble-paved squares, cobbled streets, tall houses, churches, palaces, fountains and museums, all cut from the same light-colored stone. For a fantastic panorama of the city, take a cable car ride to the summit of the 1,340-foot Mount Srdj.
