This small village on Tupinambarana Island is part of the largest river archipelago of the mid-Amazon, 250 miles east of Manaus. In existence for two centuries, Parintins is rich in Indian culture, reflected in the Boi Bumba festival. Silversea offers its guests an exclusive enactment of the show, with all its exuberance and vibrancy. A stadium holding 30,000, nicknamed the "Bumbódromo," was built in 1988 for the festival. The village can be explored on foot. Sunscreen and light clothing are recommended. |
